1. Walk to the 34 Street & 9 Avenue bus stations, located 0.4 miles (600m) apart.
2. Catch buses M34A-SBS or M34A running every 5 to 12 minutes.
3. Get off at the E 34 St/5 Av Stop, located a few steps from the Empire State.

From the stop, you can easily walk to the Empire State Building.

By Car

If you plan to take a car, you must use W. 34th St. to travel between them. It is 1.1 miles long and will take 10 minutes to reach.

To use this route:

1. Head northeast on 10th Ave. toward W 31st St

2. Turn right onto W 34th St.

3. Turn right onto 5th Ave GET DIRECTIONS

Also, make sure to look for parking places near the Empire State Building or the Edge, depending on where you are traveling in advance.

By Taxi

Taxis are readily available in NYC. You can either book them online or hail them on the street.

You can use a taxi if you are short on time or have luggage. Taxis in NYC cost around $5 and take 5-10 minutes to cover the distance.

Taxis are the fastest way to travel between them.

By Walk

If you plan to explore NYC streets, you can easily travel from the Empire State Building to the Edge on foot.
